The new Qingdao-Jeju shipping line, launched on October 16, has cut travel time for goods from two weeks to overnight, boosting China-ROK trade. Following this, Chinese President Xi Jinping met ROK President Lee Jae-myung in Gyeongju to strengthen bilateral ties, economic cooperation, and strategic communication. Xi emphasized mutual trust, joint multilateral efforts, and public engagement, while trade, people-to-people exchanges, and emerging sectors like AI and green industries were highlighted as key areas for growth.
