Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told House lawmakers she had no knowledge of the crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. In a statement posted before a closed-door deposition in New York, Clinton said she never met Epstein, flew on his plane, or visited his properties.
She accused the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee of using her testimony to divert attention from President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Epstein. Committee Chairman James Comer denied the probe was partisan and said no wrongdoing is currently alleged against the Clintons.
Former President Bill Clinton is also set to testify. The DOJ has released more than 3 million pages of Epstein-related documents in recent months. Epstein pleaded guilty to a prostitution charge in 2008, was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in 2019, and died in jail before trial.
