Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng reported “candid and constructive” talks between China and the U.S. in Geneva, resulting in significant progress. Both sides agreed to establish a China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism and will hold further discussions on mutual concerns.
He emphasized the global importance of their economic relationship and called for practical, equal dialogue to manage differences, explore cooperation, and strengthen bilateral ties. A joint statement on the talks will be released on Monday.
