Hamas says reached agreement with U.S. envoy over Gaza ceasefire framework

Hamas announced it has agreed to a general framework for a Gaza ceasefire with U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, which includes releasing 10 Israeli hostages and several bodies in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. The framework also calls for a permanent ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal, aid access, and a committee to govern Gaza post-agreement. However, Witkoff denied Hamas accepted the deal, and Israel has not officially responded, though reports suggest rejection unless Hamas disarms, relinquishes power, and exiles its leaders. Meanwhile, aid to Gaza remains insufficient, with chaos erupting at a new distribution center in Rafah due to severe shortages and an ongoing blockade.
