Hamas official says no agreement with Israel if war continues in Gaz

Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, stated they won’t agree to any deal with Israel regarding Gaza without a cessation of hostilities. Hamas reiterated its demands for a permanent ceasefire, withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, return of displaced persons, and aid for reconstruction. Egyptian mediation efforts continue amidst discussions on a potential military operation in Rafah and detainee releases. Qatar, Egypt, and the U.S. seek a deal for a prisoner exchange and a second ceasefire, following the recent conflict. Israel estimates 134 Israelis are held hostage in Gaza, while Hamas reports casualties from Israeli airstrikes.
