Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen has declined U.S. President Donald Trump’s offer to send a hospital ship to the island, saying in a Facebook post that Greenland already provides free healthcare to its citizens and does not need outside assistance. Nielsen emphasized that while Greenland welcomes dialogue and cooperation with the United States, such initiatives should involve proper communication rather than public announcements on social media. Trump had tweeted that he was coordinating with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to send “a great hospital boat” to Greenland to treat sick residents.
