China’s animated film Ne Zha 2 has surpassed Avengers: Endgame to become the second highest-grossing film in a single market, earning over 6.22 billion yuan ($850 million) at the domestic box office. It also overtook The Battle at Lake Changjin as China’s highest-grossing film. Ticketing platform Maoyan predicts it could reach 10.85 billion yuan, potentially surpassing Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936 million) in North America.
