The G7 foreign ministers, meeting in The Hague on June 25, called for renewed negotiations to reach a comprehensive and lasting agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. In a joint statement, they urged Iran to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) by meeting its safeguards obligations and allowing inspectors access. They emphasized the importance of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and called on Iran to uphold its commitments under it. The statement was released by Global Affairs Canada.
