French President Emmanuel Macron has urged Real Madrid to release Kylian Mbappe for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Mbappe, who confirmed his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after the 2023-24 season, has expressed his desire to represent France at the Olympics. Macron highlighted the importance of Mbappe’s participation, emphasizing France’s limited success in Olympic football since their gold medal win in 1984. Mbappe’s departure from PSG after a successful stint has garnered praise from PSG manager Luis Enrique, who acknowledged Mbappe’s contributions to the club. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, however, declined to comment on Mbappe’s potential transfer, focusing instead on upcoming fixtures, including the UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
