On the final day of the Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi, South Korea, Chinese athletes won four gold medals, helping China finish with a total of 19 golds, 9 silvers, and 4 bronzes.
Chen Yujie won the women’s 200 meters with a personal best of 22.97 seconds, closely followed by Singapore’s Shanti Pereira (silver) and China’s Li Yuting (bronze).
Chen, Li, Zhu Junying, and Liang Xiaojing also won gold in the women’s 4×100 meter relay with a season-best time of 43.28 seconds, ahead of India and Thailand.
Mo Jiadie won gold in the women’s 400 meter hurdles by a narrow margin of 0.01 seconds over Bahrain’s Oluwakemi Mujidat Adekoya, while India’s Vithya Ramraj took bronze.
Wu Hongjiao secured gold in the women’s 800 meters, finishing ahead of Japan’s Rin Kubo and India’s Pooja Pooja.
