Foreign trade in China’s Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has jumped 25.7 percent over the past 12 years since the start of its coordinated development strategy, customs data showed Thursday. Total trade grew from 3.74 trillion yuan ($540.2 billion) in 2014 to 4.7 trillion yuan in 2025, with exports reaching a record 1.45 trillion yuan, up 56.9 percent. Auto exports surged sixfold to 90.97 billion yuan, while private enterprises saw trade value climb 167.8 percent. Trade with the EU, ASEAN, and Belt and Road Initiative partners also expanded significantly, highlighting the region’s growing role in international commerce.
