The first China New Cultural and Creative Fair & Trendy Toy Carnival opens today in Beijing’s Chaoyang Park, running through May 24. This 10-day free event features over 10,000 products from 171 exhibitors across all 31 provinces, including major institutions like the Palace Museum. Under the theme “Culture for Harmony, Creativity for Life, Trendy for the Future,” the fair blends traditional heritage with contemporary design, showcasing everything from ancient-inspired jewelry to modern designer toys.
Beyond the displays, the carnival offers over 100 live performances, mecha parades, and traditional dragon dances across multiple stages. Centered at the Chaoyang Museum of Urban Planning and the Weibo IN complex, the event aims to boost cultural consumption and provide a new platform for China’s creative industries.
