Fatah-backed candidates dominated in the West Bank, often running unopposed, while in Deir al-Balah they secured the most seats among competing lists. Groups seen as aligned with Hamas had a limited showing.
Officials said the vote was conducted under difficult conditions, with lower turnout in Gaza due to ongoing conflict and displacement. The election marked the first local vote in Gaza in nearly two decades and highlighted ongoing divisions in Palestinian politics.
