Speaking at a forum in Beijing, he highlighted AI’s potential to change teaching methods, questioning whether machines might replace or diminish the role of human teachers. Zhang emphasized the importance of fostering students’ ability to ask questions to drive innovation. Han Liqun, another expert, suggested that AI could enhance education by enabling personalized learning at scale, helping promote educational equity. The forum also celebrated the winners of a national AI robot competition, including 10-year-old Yang Yuzhou, who won first prize for his creative coding skills and aims to build intelligent robots in the future.
