At the fifth European Political Community (EPC) summit, European leaders agreed that Europe should take more responsibility for its security rather than relying solely on the United States, according to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Nearly 50 European leaders and organizations discussed issues like migration, security, and connectivity. Orban highlighted threats to European stability, including the Ukraine conflict, Middle East tensions, illegal migration, and global economic fragmentation. Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama, set to host the next EPC summit, praised the summit’s open dialogue and expressed optimism for Albania’s EU accession. Established in 2022, the EPC aims to strengthen Europe’s security and stability through political dialogue.
