Egypt strongly rejected the forced displacement of Palestinians after former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested relocating Gaza’s population to Egypt and Jordan. The Egyptian foreign ministry reaffirmed its support for Palestinians’ right to remain on their land and condemned any actions, such as displacement or land annexation, that infringe on these rights. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi warned that such displacement would undermine the Palestinian statehood cause and threaten Egypt’s national security, calling it a “red line.” Egypt emphasized the need for a two-state solution, which it says would be jeopardized by removing Palestinians from their territories.
