DPRK vows to cope with any nuclear threat posed by U.S.

North Korea (DPRK) criticized the United States’ nuclear strategy on Saturday, vowing to counter any U.S. nuclear threat. The DPRK accused the U.S. of pursuing a unilateral nuclear advantage and falsely labeling other nations as nuclear threats. According to North Korea’s state media, the U.S. nuclear posture disrupts global security and disarmament efforts. The statement also condemned the U.S. for forming a nuclear-focused military alliance in the Asia-Pacific, involving South Korea and Japan, and blamed the U.S. for escalating the global nuclear arms race. In response, the DPRK pledged to strengthen its strategic power to address security challenges.
