The General Office of the Communist Party of China has launched a Party-wide campaign aimed at guiding members, particularly officials at the county and director level and above, to develop a correct understanding of what it means to perform well in office. Running from late February to July, the campaign focuses especially on leading officials and seeks to ensure that Party organizations deliver tangible benefits to the public through practical work.
The initiative emphasizes maintaining a people-centered approach, correcting misguided views about achievements, and ensuring effective implementation of major decisions by the Party Central Committee. It is intended to lay a solid foundation for the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030) and support China’s broader modernization goals. The circular calls for approaches tailored to local and sectoral conditions while warning against empty formalities.
