The Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council of the People’s Republic of China sent a congratulatory message to the Chinese delegation at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, praising it for achieving the country’s best-ever results at an overseas Winter Olympics.
China won five gold, four silver and six bronze medals. The message commended the athletes for their perseverance, fair play and sportsmanship, saying they brought honor to the nation and showcased China’s image in the new era.
The delegation was encouraged to continue striving toward the goal of building China into a strong sporting nation, expand participation in winter sports, and contribute to national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.
