On September 3, China Media Group (CMG) will broadcast the grand gathering marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, along with a military parade, to audiences worldwide in 85 languages. To expand international coverage, CMG recently added Irish, Pidgin, and Kinyarwanda to its broadcasting lineup, further strengthening China Global Television Network’s position as the international media outlet with the widest linguistic reach.
CGTN now reaches over 700 million television users and 600 million new media followers, with partnerships across more than 4,700 media organizations worldwide. Ahead of the commemorative events, it has rolled out a series of documentaries, features, reports, and commentaries, including The Great Victory – Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression Through the Lens of a Soviet Photographer, co-produced with Russia’s state broadcaster, to highlight the spirit of resistance under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
