China Media Group (CMG) launched its new sports news program, “Morning Sports,” in Shanghai to cover the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, which start on July 26 in Paris. The launch event was attended by CMG President Shen Haixiong and International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach. CMG revealed its Paris 2024 logo and recognized its broadcast team. Shen highlighted CMG’s role as the main broadcaster for the Olympics and noted that their production trucks have begun their journey to Paris, aiming to arrive by late July.
CMG will provide the first 8K ultra high-definition broadcast of the Olympic Games. Shen expressed CMG’s commitment to technological innovation and cooperation with the IOC, including in Esports. Bach visited CMG’s Shanghai International Media Port, praised CMG’s contribution to the Olympic spirit, and anticipated a new audience experience with CMG’s advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and immersive audio.
