China Media Group (CMG) has announced the expansion of its online audio streaming service, Yunting (Ethereal Sound), introducing 41 new programs. CMG President Shen Haixiong unveiled the new content, including audiobooks, series on traditional Chinese philosophy, drama and literature adaptations, and educational content for children. Yunting, launched in March 2020, has become China’s prominent mobile audio streaming service, with over 260 million users. It has a strong presence in-car entertainment, with over 81 million users accessing the service within vehicles, making it the leading audio service for automobiles in China. Yunting employs self-developed technologies like AI voices and “Audio Vivid,” offering domestically-developed 3D sound, compatible with major smartphone operating systems.
