Clearing rubble in Gaza after the recent conflict with Israel may take 3–5 years if adequate funding and equipment are secured, according to Palestinian Public Works Minister Ahed Bseiso. The effort, involving organizations like the UNDP, focuses on reopening roads, clearing rubble from 150 public buildings, and repairing homes. Over 400,000 housing units were damaged, requiring 200,000 new units and temporary housing for displaced families. Gaza has over 50 million tonnes of rubble, with cleanup costs estimated at $1.2 billion. Damage across the Gaza Strip affects 88% of the area, with losses exceeding $38 billion.
