China has said it will use major upcoming AI conferences in Beijing to promote international cooperation on artificial intelligence governance. Speaking at the World Peace Forum, Vice President Han Zheng called for a global AI governance system based on broad consensus and said China supports AI development that benefits humanity.
He also highlighted China’s broader Global Governance Initiative, saying the world faces growing instability and needs stronger international coordination. Han stressed China’s support for the United Nations and its commitment to global fairness, while also calling for expanded cooperation and open global economic development.
