Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with leaders from Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam on Tuesday in Nanning, Guangxi, during the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and Business Summit.
In talks with Myanmar’s Prime Minister U Nyo Saw, Han emphasized deepening bilateral ties and building a China-Myanmar community with a shared future. China expressed support for Myanmar’s stability and urged stronger action against cross-border crimes affecting Chinese interests. Myanmar affirmed its commitment to cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
With Laos’ Vice President Bounthong Chitmany, Han highlighted progress in building a China-Laos shared future and looked ahead to celebrating 65 years of diplomatic ties in 2026. Laos praised the historically strong relations and vowed to deepen political and practical cooperation.
Han told Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Vissoth that China wants to speed up projects like the “Industrial Development Corridor” and “Fish and Rice Corridor.” Cambodia reaffirmed its strong friendship with China and commitment to advancing cooperation.
