Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his South Korean counterpart Cho Hyun in a phone call that China is committed to building mutual trust, deepening cooperation, and supporting regional peace and prosperity with South Korea. Both countries will host upcoming APEC summits, and Wang expressed hope for joint efforts to promote multilateralism and economic integration in the Asia-Pacific. Cho reaffirmed South Korea’s commitment to strengthening ties with China and using APEC as an opportunity to boost high-level exchanges and collaboration.
