Chinese Premier Li Qiang will attend and speak at the opening of the 2025 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance in Shanghai on July 26, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced. The event, themed “Global Solidarity in the AI Era,” will bring together high-level representatives from over 40 countries and organizations.
According to spokesperson Guo Jiakun, the conference will focus on three main topics: advancing innovation and AI cooperation, promoting inclusive development to reduce the digital divide, and strengthening global governance to ensure AI is used responsibly. China aims to position the event as a hub for technology leadership, application, industry growth, and governance discussions in the AI field.
