Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized advancing a new-type power grid and optimizing the energy structure during a field survey in Sichuan Province from March 30 to April 1. He visited Chengdu and Deyang, inspecting new energy enterprises and equipment manufacturers, urging innovation, R&D investment, and large-scale adoption of advanced technologies like AI in clean energy manufacturing.
Li highlighted the importance of a safe, reliable, green, low-carbon, and flexible power grid for energy security and green development. He also toured the Zipingpu water control project and Dujiangyan irrigation system, stressing modernizing water conservancy for flood control, irrigation, power, and ecological conservation.
In Guanghan, he inspected a wheat yield demonstration zone, calling for timely spring plowing, improved agricultural technology adoption, smart machinery use, and high-standard field management.
