Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in Beijing on July 9, during her first state visit to China since taking office. The two sides discussed strengthening cooperation in areas including trade, investment, agriculture, infrastructure, renewable energy, and technology.
Premier Li said China is willing to work with Namibia to expand practical cooperation and deepen bilateral ties, while President Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the importance of China-Namibia relations and opportunities for further partnership. The visit is part of efforts to strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two countries, which have maintained diplomatic ties for 36 years.
