Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Markus Soeder, the minister-president of Bavaria, Germany, to discuss enhancing economic and trade cooperation between China and Bavaria. Li emphasized the importance of local cooperation in fostering China-Germany relations and expressed China’s readiness to deepen collaboration with Bavaria. He hoped Bavaria would actively contribute to overall cooperation between the two countries, focusing on achieving mutual benefits, advancing innovation, and strengthening cultural exchanges. Li outlined China’s commitment to further economic and trade ties with Bavaria, particularly in areas such as electric vehicles, clean energy, biopharmaceuticals, and artificial intelligence. He also highlighted China’s efforts to improve market access and create a favorable business environment for foreign enterprises, including those from Germany.
