China’s robotics exports continued to grow strongly in the first half of 2026, with industrial robot exports rising 18.6% year on year to 6.29 billion yuan (about $930 million), reaching 141 countries and regions, according to customs data.
Industry experts say Chinese companies are increasingly moving beyond selling robots to providing complete automation solutions, supported by years of experience across more than 70 industrial sectors. Growing global demand for automation and advances in artificial intelligence are also driving export growth.
The expansion extended beyond industrial robots, with surgical robot exports more than tripling to 480 million yuan, while exports of robot vacuum cleaners and bionic robots reached 18.09 billion yuan, highlighting China’s growing role in the global robotics market.
