The 21st China International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) in Shenzhen showcased China’s gaming industry’s global growth and cultural integration. Tencent’s Arena of Valor, launched internationally in 2024, reached over 50 million downloads and operates in 220+ regions, contributing to Tencent’s strong gaming revenue growth. Guangdong Province, responsible for 80% of China’s overseas gaming revenue, introduced new policies to support innovation, original content, and global expansion. Guangzhou alone hosts over 6,000 gaming companies. Many games at the fair featured traditional Chinese cultural elements, highlighting the industry’s strategy to blend culture with technology to appeal to global audiences.
