On July 14, Chinese team VKG (VK Gaming) won the Apex Legends Championship at the 2025 Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, scoring 96 points and earning a $600,000 prize. This marks China’s first-ever world title in Apex Legends and its first championship win at this year’s tournament. Chen Yin-hong (ID: QQ), an 18-year-old from Taiwan, was named MVP for his standout performance. The Esports World Cup 2025 runs from July 8 to August 24 and features a record $70 million prize pool.
