China’s top political advisory body, the CPPCC National Committee, held a standing committee meeting in Beijing to prepare for its upcoming annual session. Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and a member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee’s Political Bureau Standing Committee, attended the meeting.
Political advisors approved a decision to convene the fourth session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee starting March 4. They also reviewed a 2025 work report, discussed drafts of the Standing Committee’s work report, and heard explanations on a report concerning the handling of proposals from the previous session.
