China’s top legislature began a regular session Wednesday to review multiple draft laws and reports. The meeting was presided over by Zhao Leji, chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee.
Lawmakers examined draft legislation on social assistance, fire and rescue personnel, and amendments to the law on certified public accountants. They also reviewed a draft work report of the NPC Standing Committee, proposed agendas and leadership lists for the upcoming fourth session of the 14th NPC, as well as a report on deputy qualifications and other personnel-related bills.
