Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will chair the Third China–Pacific Island Countries (PICs) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Xiamen from May 28 to 29. Representatives from 11 Pacific Island nations with diplomatic ties to China will attend. This marks the first time the meeting is held in person in China.
According to spokesperson Mao Ning, the meeting will focus on strengthening cooperation, discussing regional and international issues, and implementing agreements made by leaders. China aims to deepen its partnerships with PICs, promote development, and build a closer shared future.
