Jiang Bin, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of National Defense, warned Japan against deploying long-range offensive missiles, saying the move threatens regional security.
He said Japan’s missile deployment, with a range of about 1,000 km covering nearby coastal areas, reflects growing militarization and challenges its traditionally defense-oriented policy.
Jiang cautioned that any attempt by Japan to threaten China’s sovereignty or security would face a strong response.
