According to the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, following a powerful earthquake in central Myanmar, rescue teams are using an emergency Chinese-Myanmar-English translation system developed by DeepSeek.
The translation platform was developed in just seven hours by the Secretariat Office of China’s National Emergency Language Service Team and a language service task force from Beijing Language and Culture University, utilizing DeepSeek’s technology. Reports indicate that more than 700 people in Myanmar are currently using the platform.
This is the first time China’s large-scale AI language model has been deployed for international earthquake relief efforts.
