The People’s Republic of China and the Federated States of Micronesia have announced their collaboration in the Belt and Road initiative, focusing on high-quality cooperation. They aim to enhance cooperation in various sectors including fishery, infrastructure, tropical planting, aviation, maritime transportation, and green development. Additionally, both countries agreed to expand exchanges in education, health, tourism, and media. China expressed its openness to Micronesian specialty products, particularly fish products, to enter the Chinese market. They also pledged to promote multilateralism and international cooperation, aligning with shared values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom under initiatives like the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative.
