China and Vietnam launched the China–Vietnam Cooperation Week in Yunnan’s Honghe Prefecture to deepen regional collaboration along the Honghe River Basin. Officials, researchers, and businesses discussed cross-border cooperation, industrial links, and people-to-people exchanges.
Both sides aim to boost green development, digitalization, water protection, tourism, and trade. Economic ties are growing, with over 12.4 billion yuan in deals at a recent border fair. Plans include aligning agricultural standards, strengthening energy cooperation, improving logistics and railway links like the Hekou–Lao Cai line, and modernizing border management.
The event produced a joint cooperation consensus and included visits to industrial parks to explore further cross-border opportunities.
