China and the United States have jointly dismantled a transnational drug trafficking case involving new psychoactive substances, according to China’s Ministry of Public Security.
The investigation began in 2024, with coordinated efforts between both sides leading to arrests in China and the US. Chinese police detained a suspect in Tianjin in February 2026 based on intelligence shared by US authorities, while an American suspect was previously arrested in Georgia.
