China has issued a new 2026–2028 action plan to strengthen its platform economy by improving coordination between large, medium, and small tech enterprises.
The plan, led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other agencies, focuses on boosting innovation, data sharing, and AI development while improving algorithm governance and transparency.
By 2028, China aims to build more collaborative innovation models and support niche “specialized” firms within the digital economy.
Officials say the goal is to better integrate the digital and real economies and unlock growth through a more open, ecosystem-driven platform system.
