China has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the European Union (EU) to uphold a rules-based multilateral trading system, with the World Trade Organization (WTO) at its core. A spokesperson from China’s Ministry of Commerce, He Yongqian, emphasized the importance of dialogue, mutual openness, and practical cooperation between the two sides.
As 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the EU, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to economic globalization, trade liberalization, and the stability of global supply chains.
This message was delivered during a regular press conference and aligns with China’s goal of injecting certainty and stability into the global economy.
