China will strengthen legal measures this year to improve the business environment, Minister of Justice He Rong said on Thursday.
He spoke after the closing meeting of the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress in Beijing, noting that last year the Ministry of Justice reviewed and rectified over 60,000 enterprise-related legal cases. The effort reduced companies’ economic losses by nearly 30 billion yuan (about $4.37 billion).
Looking ahead, China plans to address key challenges including building a unified national market, tackling local protectionism, removing improper market entry barriers, and curbing harmful market “involution,” He added.
