China will firmly oppose hegemonism and power politics while safeguarding international fairness and justice, according to a government work report submitted Thursday to the national legislature for deliberation. The report states that China will continue to pursue an independent foreign policy of peace and remain committed to peaceful development while expanding its global network of partnerships.
It also notes that China is willing to work with the international community to promote a more equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization. The country will continue advancing initiatives including the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization Initiative, and Global Governance Initiative.
In addition, China will actively participate in reforms of the global governance system to help make the international order more just and equitable. The report emphasized that these efforts aim to build a community with a shared future for humanity and promote lasting global peace and development.
