China’s Premier Li Qiang announced a unilateral visa-free policy for Ireland to promote personnel exchanges during his official visit to Ireland. He emphasized the importance of mutual benefit and highlighted the countries as key cooperative partners. Premier Li urged increased trade and cooperation in areas such as green development, sustainable agriculture, finance, digital economy, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence. He expressed the hope for an open and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese companies in Ireland. Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar praised China’s achievements and adherence to the one-China principle, expressing readiness to expand investment, particularly in agriculture, innovation, and green development. Ireland also expressed a willingness to enhance convenience for Chinese visitors and deepen people-to-people exchanges. Both leaders discussed maintaining a free and open international trading system and ensuring the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
