China will advance self-initiated and unilateral opening-up in an orderly way, while steadily expanding visa-free policies and mutual visa exemptions, according to a government work report submitted Thursday to the national legislature.
The report said efforts to stabilize foreign trade continued, with imports and exports maintaining stable growth and improving quality. Exports rose by 6.1 percent.
An action plan to stabilize foreign investment was also introduced, leading to a 19.1 percent increase in newly established foreign-invested enterprises. Meanwhile, cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative continued to progress, with deeper practical collaboration across multiple sectors.
