China’s Shenzhou-16 crew, featuring astronauts Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu, and Gui Haichao, conducted the first-ever livestreamed science class from the Mengtian lab module of the China Space Station. This is part of the “Tiangong Class” series, aiming to inspire young people in space education. The astronauts acted as teachers, explaining space phenomena during the 48-minute lecture, which was attended by 2,800 students from various locations. They showcased life in the lab module and performed experiments demonstrating microgravity effects on a candle flame, water surface, and the law of conservation of momentum. This event marks a significant milestone in the space station’s operation.
