The seventh China-South Asia Expo in Kunming concluded with 338 projects and a total investment of 404 billion yuan ($56.1 billion) signed. This marked the first in-person expo since the COVID-19 pandemic. The five-day event drew 30,000 exhibitors and representatives from 85 countries, highlighting the growth since the first expo in 2013. Over a decade, the expo has expanded its exhibition space and participating countries, fostering trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Notably, China’s trade volume with South Asian countries doubled during this time, with strong partnerships with Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Maldives.
