Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with South African Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni in New Delhi on Monday, calling for closer China-South Africa cooperation and stronger unity among BRICS countries.
Wang said both countries should deepen strategic trust, expand practical cooperation and work together to defend multilateralism and the interests of developing nations amid rising unilateralism.
South Africa reaffirmed its commitment to the one-China policy and expressed willingness to strengthen cooperation with China in areas including trade, investment, cybersecurity and infrastructure, while enhancing coordination within BRICS and other multilateral platforms.
